Context’s in-house team is standing by to make things easy as you prepare for your trip. Leading up to your tour you’ll hear from our team to keep you informed and give you the right information at the right time. You’ll always have:

  • Access to our client experience team via email or text leading up to your tour for any questions
  • 24/7 emergency coverage within 48 hours of your tour date
  • Direct communication channel between you and your guide on the day of your tour

What you can expect

Context’s team is here each step of the way. You’ll hear from us with important information from the time you book to when you’re enjoying your experience. 

We’ll communicate differently and at different times based on which experiences you’ve selected. 

Tours

When you'll hear from us ...

  • At Time of Booking

    You will receive a receipt detailing your purchase information as well as a confirmation text message. You will receive one receipt per order. Our team gets to work crafting the perfect experience for you, so be sure to provide any relevant information beforehand.

  • Within 24 - 48 Hours After Booking

    You will receive an order confirmation email. This email provides important information about the tours you booked, including meeting points. 

  • Within 24 Hours of Tour

    You will receive a reminder email with your tour name, date, start time, and meeting point.

    You will also receive a text message connection you with your guide. Read More 

    In the event of an emergency the day of your tour, such as getting lost, running late, or you have to cancel:

    • Text your guide
    • Contact the support team

  • Day of Tour

    You’ll meet your guide at your meeting point at the tour start time and have a great time!

  • After Your Tour

    You'll receive feedback requests for each tour you take with Context via email. Please share your thoughts with us — we love hearing about your experiences.

    You'll then receive reminders to share your feedback via email and text message. 

    If your expert has enabled cashless tipped, you will also receive a tip request via text message.

Guide Communication

Prior to your tour, you will receive a text message connecting you directly with your guide*.

For tours with start time before 10:00AM, the SMS channel will open at 7pm local time on the day before the tour.

For tours with start time after 10:00AM, the SMS channel will open at 7am local time on the day of the tour

The SMS channel will close at 11:59 PM local time on the day of tour.

*Non-US numbers (+1 country code) will not receive the text message directly. Instead, your expert's phone number will be included in the 24-hour email.

Managed Comms

Audio Guides

When you'll hear from us ...

  • At Time of Booking

    You will receive a receipt detailing all of the audio guides you purchased including your order number and order total.

    You will receive a separate email containing download instructions for the Voicemap App, where you'll listen to your audio guide. This email will also contain the redemption code for your audio guide to use in the app. 

  • When You're Ready

    Use the Voicemap app and the redemption code provided in your email to enjoy your audio guide. Press play and let our local experts guide you through the city, uncovering local secrets and hidden stories along the way.  

  • Two Weeks After Purchase

    You will receive feedback requests via email and via text message for your audio guide. If you are taking your audio guide at a future date, please save these requests for that time — we love hearing your feedback.

VOICEMAP

VoiceMap works offline. After you download a tour, the audio will be available offline along with an offline map.

With GPS autoplay, you can focus on your surroundings. Put in your headphones, tap on Start, and let VoiceMap guide you.

If you do wander off in the wrong direction, VoiceMap will play an audio alert, and you can follow the map on your screen to the next location.

Pre-Trip Talks

When you'll hear from us ...

  • At Time of Booking

    You can access your lecture at the time of purchase via a link on the checkout screen.

    You will also immediately receive an email with a receipt and a link to access your pre-trip talk. Watch any time, as many times as you'd like.

     

  • After You've Enjoyed Your Talk

    You can give feedback directly on the page where you watched the lecture.
